The outcome
A simpler, customer-focused story and a cohesive digital and event presence designed to help introduce Helios to the market.

Micropower Technologies was an EvoNexus-incubated startup preparing to bring Helios, its remarkably small and powerful solar motor technology, to market.

The engineering was impressive. Explaining why anyone should care was the harder part.

I worked alongside Micropower’s marketing lead and my team at Fairway to turn a highly technical product into a story potential customers could quickly understand.

We started with the customer, not the website.

We mapped the customer journey and spoke with early adopters to understand what caught their attention, what confused them, and what they needed to know before Helios felt relevant to something they might actually build.

Those conversations helped us find the story.

Instead of asking visitors to decode the engineering, we built the experience around what Helios could make possible. We simplified the language, created a clearer path through the product story, and designed a website that could introduce unfamiliar technology without dumbing it down.

I led the website design and extended the same story into Micropower’s event displays, giving the company a consistent way to introduce Helios whether someone encountered it online or across a crowded show floor.

The result was more than a new website. It gave an emerging company a clearer way to take a very small piece of technology and tell a much bigger story about what it could do.
