The problem
Coastal Life was using a brokerage-provided website platform with limited customization. It did the basics, but the experience didn’t reflect the caliber of the firm or give the team enough control over their own digital presence.
My role
Creative direction, brand strategy, UX/UI design, Webflow development, digital marketing and ongoing creative support.
The team
I worked directly with the Coastal Life team to rethink their digital presence, rebuild the website and support ongoing marketing efforts.
Key challenge
Creating a more distinctive, premium experience while still working within the requirements of a highly regulated financial-services industry.
Major shift
Moving away from a brokerage-controlled template and onto Webflow gave Coastal Life a digital presence built around their business and a site their team could actually manage.

Coastal Life Wealth Management had a problem that’s surprisingly common in financial services.

Their brokerage partner provided a website platform that checked the compliance boxes, but left very little room for anything else.

Customization was limited. The experience felt templated. And for a firm built around highly personal financial guidance, it simply didn’t reflect the caliber of the business behind it.

They had outgrown the system.

Giving the brand room to breathe.

We moved Coastal Life to Webflow and rebuilt their website around the firm rather than the limitations of their brokerage platform.

That gave us the freedom to create a more polished, considered digital experience while giving the Coastal Life team something equally important: control. They could finally make updates to their own website without having to work around a rigid system every time something changed.

The new site became a much better reflection of who they were: established and credible, but still warm, approachable, and distinctly Southern California.

Then we helped people find it.

The website was only one part of the relationship.

We helped Coastal Life build a broader digital presence across Google, Meta, and social media, developing and supporting campaigns designed to introduce the firm to new audiences while keeping the brand consistent from an ad to a social post to the website itself.

Instead of treating the website, advertising, and social channels as separate projects, we treated them as one connected customer journey.

The result was a digital presence Coastal Life could actually call its own, with a stronger brand, a website they could manage themselves, and marketing built to bring the right people to it.
